What are the advantages of a Pallas MV X-Ray viewer over conventional X- Ray viewer boxes currently used in radiology?

Flatter, lighter, portable
The Pallas MV X-Ray viewer is only 1,8 cm thick. The thin aluminium box is elegant and may function equally well as a mural application or as a freestanding device on a table.
Doesn't vibrate
Its light does not vibrate sensibly to the human eye as the Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFL) are powered by high frequency circuits. Prolonged usage of CCFLs therefore do not fatigue the eyes.
Even light distribution
An important feature of CCFL light is its even distribution over the complete surface which results in more precise image evaluation and reduces eye fatigue.
Energy efficient
Modern CCFLs are far more energy efficient than conventional neon tubes or light bulbs, and due to their lower energy consumption, they do not heat up as much as these latter two.
Favourable colour temperature
Their colour temperature is favourable, their bluish light, colder than that of light bulbs is ideal for X-Ray image evaluation.
Longer lifespan
The lifespan of CCFLs is approximately 5-10 times longer than that of conventional neon tubes.

The X-Ray image can be easily slid underneath the thin, flexible clips that are found on one of the longer edges.

A Pallas Medical Viewers are made with Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps. Lifespan of  the Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps is more than 30,000 hours. (Display screens of laptops are also equipped with CCFL.)
